Color slides from a GI's album associated with the US Army Western Pacific Command. USAFWESPAC was changed into Philippine-Ryukyus Command in January 1947, in August 1947 Western Pacific Command was cancelled. The unit was located on a hill above the Machinato River inlet between the Machinato Service area and what would become Camp Boone.
Views from their base above Machinato inlet, Highway 1, mess hall, barracks, officers' quarters, and a heavily fenced women's compound probably for nurses, and female DAC employees. All the mess hall ladies dressed up for Christmas and a labor day military parade.
